Co-creating the Smart City strategy for Berlin.
Transformative Coalition
8 Weeks | Berlin
The city of Berlin set out to create a smart city strategy that would reflect the needs and address the pains of all citizens.
We supported this process by leading a series of interactive workshops with different stakeholder groups and translating the findings into tangible insights.
Context
In the context of Berlin’s ambition to create an inclusive new smart city strategy, it became clear that involving the city’s stakeholders would be an essential part. The project
Berlin Smart City Strategy
By Berlin being chosen as one of Germany’s smart city model projects, the city decided to redevelop its smart city strategy, led by the CityLAB Berlin and by involving all city stakeholders in creating the framework for strategy development. With online participation, workshops with stakeholders from civil society, science, local economy to politics all results were put together to create a crowdsourced approach and a new strategy for Germany’s capital.
