  • Michael Benson

    Scottish Development International

    Inward Investment Specialist at Scottish Development International, with a focus on attracting and supporting investment into Scotland. Previously, Michael worked at UK India Business Council to help UK companies enter the challenging but exciting Indian market.

  • Oby Bamidele

    COO, Built-ID

    Oby started in finance and progressed into leading operations for startups with a focus on social impact and tech for good. She has over 10 years leadership experience in scaling businesses, building internal capabilities and overseeing operations across finance, HR, legal, risk compliance and delivery. She is passionate about building diverse and inclusive organizations and giving a voice to underserved and underrepresented communities.

  • Johnny Hugill

    Head of Research, PUBLIC Accelerator

    Johnny has led a number of PUBLIC’s government consulting and advisory projects, including working with the Dutch government to design a GovTech strategy, and the Cabinet Office on its civil service reform program. With expertise in procurement of technology and innovation, he sits on the UK government procurement advisory panel.

  • Lorna Walker

    COO, Modomo

    Lorna is COO and Head of ESG at Modomo, tackling the housing crisis with modular "meanwhile housing." She is also a trustee of the UK Green Building Council. Previously at CBRE for over 12 years, Lorna led major investment disposals and acquisitions of commercial real estate across Europe for international investors.

    Connected Places Catapult

    Alex is a specialist in the commercialization of innovation with over 15 years' of experience in complex markets, from medicine and devices to transport and cities. Alex understands the regulatory and practical barriers to new market entrants, and has supported hundreds of high-tech, high-growth businesses.

  • Alison Young

    Connected Places Catapult

    Alison is an international trade and investment professional with strong commercial, organisational and project management experience across various sectors; public, private and third sector. Her work’s focus is on Technology and smart cities.

  • Simon Sylvester-Chaudhuri

    Executive Director, CIV:LAB

    Simon is the Founder and Executive Director of CIV:LAB a nonprofit based in New York, Detroit and London. In partnership with the NYC Economic Development Corporation, he co-founded and is the Director of 'The Grid', an NYC urban tech collaborative of 130 organizations working together innovating cities. Simon is also a co-founder of Smart Cities New York and the NYC Urban Data Meetup.

  • Eddie Copeland

    Director, London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI)

    Eddie is Director of the London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI), an organization that helps London boroughs work together to bring the best of digital, data and innovation to improve public services and outcomes for Londoners. He is also a member of the Smart London Board.

  • Stuart Cairns

    Partner, Bird & Bird

    Stuart is a London-based partner, focusing on public sector and utilities procurement particularly in infrastructure and has worked extensively with all manner of Government and regulated bodies both nationally and internationally. He is one of the co-heads of the International Projects and Procurement Group which is networked right across our European offices and beyond.

    Business Development, London & Partner

    Anna is Business Development Executive Europe at London & Partners, the Mayor of London's official international trade, investment and promotional agency. She specializes in the urban sector and supporting startups and scale-ups to expand to London.

  • Aman Sharma

    Managing Director, Totus Digital

    Aman works with government and industry to deliver fire safety and digital information management policy and guidance. He is dedicated to increasing levels of resident and building safety, as well as duty holder assurance, through engaging and inclusive thought leadership.

  • Shaahin Shariat

    Customer Insights Lead, TIER

    Shaahin is an experienced researcher who focuses on thought leadership at TIER. He scouts and discovers the most promising idea and paves the path for other teams to develop this idea into a full product.

  • David Altabev

    Founder, Urban Frontiers

    David is Founder of Urban Frontiers, a boutique urban tech, and digital transformation agency. He previously worked as the Director of Data & Demonstrators at the Future Cities Catapult and Head of Cities at PUBLIC. David facilitates engagements between cities and startups and acts as UK Associate for Urban Impact.
